Okay, so I’ve proven that I’m not a good blogger! The worst, in fact. Frankly it seems lucky I’ve posted in this century… And I really should do a recap of last year, post some pics of the book expo and festivals I attended, but…
I’m too excited to post this: the fact that TIME SHIFTERS was selected as Book of the Week in the iBooks Aust/NZ store!
Thanks to everyone who has been busy downloading and rocketing the book up the iBooks charts – much love!
And much gratitude to the iBooks editor who added their note to the book, which I was thrilled to read:
Seventeen-year-old Ryder is hurled through time to 2127, forced to live a dangerous lie in order to survive the war-ravaged future. When Ryder meets a mysterious girl named Kira, he’s pulled into a high-tech fight to save humanity. This exciting first book in Laura Anile’s dystopian Time Shifters series is a fast-paced YA adventure with unguessable twists, breathtaking thrills, and irresistible romance.
I’m still jumping for joy!
Okay, so as far as regular blogging goes, I have a lot of work to do…
A couple of months ago (or three), I attended a book expo, and I still haven’t posted any pics – but I’m correcting that now!
While there weren’t as many people through the doors as advertised (a very small fraction, in fact), the expo itself was an amazing experience. Meeting readers was a HUGE thrill, especially when a twelve-year-old boy came running over to my booth wanting to read the first book in my sci-fi YA series. It was such an incredible experience to meet people excited to read my books – a total high, and a privilege
Thanks also to all of the wonderful authors I met. It was such a treat to be surrounded by all of those talented people who share the same love for writing, and to have the opportunity to share tips and ideas.
All in all, a very memorable weekend, made all the more special by my generous mother who came with me to help man the booth.
Unlike the other stores, iTunes don’t send a notification when books become available, so I was very excited when I ventured into the store and found that TIME SHIFTERS Book 1: Beyond Time is now on the shelf!
The good thing about iTunes is that it allows you to choose the length of the sample, so you can read the first seven chapters if you download the sample. HAPPY READING!
iTunes link: TIME SHIFTERS Book 1: Beyond Time
I am sooooo excited that TIME SHIFTERS Book One: Beyond Time is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo!
The book should be available in the iTunes store within the next couple of weeks.
Time Shifters is a YA dystopian series with science-fiction elements:
When you wake up in the wrong body within a futuristic world, being yourself can get you killed.
I am really excited about this series. It was a lot of fun to write – and I hope just as fun to read!
Who can’t relate to this – not wanting that great book you’re reading to end…
Perhaps you save the last chapter or two?
You fall in love with characters and go into a state of withdrawal when all of a sudden, they’re not there anymore. Now that’s a sign of a really great book!
Wishing everyone an awesome 2014!
